HVAC and BMS in Accommodation Buildings

EasyIO is a smart Building Energy Management solution offering scalability, integration in new and existing builds and capacity for total sitewide monitoring.

Objective

TEC Automation was approved via tender process to deliver a BMS and HVAC Upgrade to several accommodations buildings at a Darwin site in line with stakeholder requirements.

The project involved four buildings, which were Heritage Listed and dated back to 1940/1941.

The engineered and installed solution would involve updates to the BMS and HVAC that were in line with the Burra Charter and followed current MFPE along with the Heritage Management Plan.

The scope of works included the engineering, installation and commissioning of the BMS system to the four buildings along with PIR sensors, humidity sensors, a BMS panel with indicator lights for run and fault status, automation servers and IO modules in accordance with Australian standards. It also included programming for communication and control functions with HLI interfaces in split system ACs and maintenance inspections during works as needed.
